I read this book over twenty years ago when I was in school, now I am working as a long-term substitute until I get my teaching intern certificate, I started reading this book to the class of 5th graders I have. I am looking for a reading guide to help the students gain a deeper understanding of the story.
This is a good place to start

did she know about familial dysautonomia when she wrote of dying mitocondria? the suffering is so similar to her story about Charles Wallace. I read it as an 11 year old, befeore I knew i was afflicted with dysautonomia, and totally identified with how Charles felt and was disabled.Madeleine L'Engle responded on 09/05/2018
