Many years ago, I recall reading a short story, I believe in a high school English literature textbook, by Madeleigne L'Engle, which used some of the characters from A Wrinkle in Time. It is only a vague memory, but I recall enjoying the story at the time. It involved, if I remember correctly, a gargoyle coming to life and be taken in by one of the witch sisters. Am I mistaken or was there such a story and, if so, where can I find a copy?
Hmm. The witch sister, do you mean the Mrs W's? There was a short story called Intergalactic P.S. 3 which was the basis of A Wind in the Door and so has some of the characters from A Wrinkle in Time.
I'm looking for The Glorious Impossible. Such a lovely book. I found it at the library but can't figure out where to buy it. Any ideas?Madeleine L'Engle responded on 01/17/2017 Next question
Madeleine wrote about being on a panel or committee interviewing a candidate for priesthood. He said he didn't have time to read the Bible. She asked why he didn't read it in the bathroom and that shocked him. Does this ring a bell? I'd like to know where to find this passage.Madeleine L'Engle responded on 03/01/2017
